Nintendo 3DS XL Gets A SNES Makeover

With smartphones these days being powerful enough to play all kinds of games, it is understandable that gamers no longer see the need to bring about a portable handheld console for their gaming needs on the go. Sure, there are some gamers who still prefer that way of gaming, and the Nintendo 3DS XL is one of the more popular options to date.

In fact if you’re thinking of getting into handheld gaming, you might be interested to learn that Nintendo has recently unveiled a new Nintendo 3DS XL SNES Edition. As you can see in the image above, this is the 3DS XL console except with a new look that has been designed to mimic the SNES console from back in the day.

Apart from the new look, the console will remain pretty much exactly the same as the other 3DS XL consoles, so basically this is just a change in aesthetics. The console is priced at $200 which is pretty much the same price as the standard version and will be released on the 27th of November.

We know that Nintendo has released various themed 3DS XL handheld consoles in the past, with some being limited to Japan, so if you’re a collector then perhaps this could be worth checking out.
