Reginae Carter, the daughter of rap icon Lil Wayne, is receiving a wide array of support from fans after an Instagram user dinged the 20-year-old’s appearance.

Earlier this week, Carter shared a photo of herself rocking a bare face. A negative Nelly commented on her natural look and suggested she put some makeup on.

“You not ugly but you need make up sis ❤️,” the person commented.

Carter’s mother Toya Wright stepped in and clapped back at the critic, letting them know that her daughter is beautiful with or without any makeup.

“She don’t need s–t. She’s beautiful with or without,” Wright hit back.

Since the incident, Carter has been showered with support by fans who’ve encouraged her to continue embracing her natural essence. The young actress took to Instagram on Feb. 18 and shared an image of herself rocking a minimal amount of makeup. She appeared to be wearing a sheer foundation, a small amount of concealer, no contour or highlight, natural brows and a nude lippie. She also wore her hair in a half-up, half-down style, accenting her face.

In the photo, Carter donned a beige button-down blazer dress with a pair of black heels and brown Louis Vuitton bag.

Fans went bananas over how naturally beautiful the 20-year-old looked and urged her to continue wearing a token amount of makeup.

“Yass Nae you look good naturally beautiful 😍🙌 and f–k the haters and whack a– wanna be bullies sis,” one fan commented underneath Carter’s photo.

“You’re a beautiful young lady, don’t let anyone tell you different!” another added.

“I’m loving this minimum makeup suh,” an Instagram user wrote. “Keep the makeup off 😍😍!”

Carter’s mother Wright has had a lot to say about nasty commenting about her eldest daughter and her 1-year-old daughter. She recently made a post slamming social media trolls for calling both of her daughters “ugly” and noted, “F–k anybody that has anything negative to say about my daughters.”

Toya Wright asked Reginae Carter if she taught baby Reign a bad habit.

Interestingly, Wright told the Shade Room in January 2018 that she wanted to keep her children out of the spotlight as much as possible, although her daughters’ lives certainly seem quite accessible to the public.

“Honestly I have learned over the years to keep as much of my personal life as private as I can,” said Wright. “That being said, while I do not plan to hide her, I do plan to shield her from the negative energy that can often come from social media.”
