Last month police searched Soulja Boy‘s Los Angeles area home after a woman said he kidnapped her, and on Friday (March 15) the rapper was arrested.

But the arrest wasn’t attached to the kidnapping allegation — which Soulja denied — he was taken into custody because the police found ammunition during that search, which violated the rapper’s probation.

Because in 2016, around the same time the “Pretty Boy Swag” rapper was threatening people online with guns, police raided his home in the Hollywood Hills and found a firearm. They took Soulja into custody after that, and the police were tipped when someone called Crime Stoppers.

That particular arrest also violated Soulja’s probation, because in 2014 he was caught with a loaded gun in his vehicle and received 24 months of probation.

And with this recent arrest, police didn’t get the 28-year-old at his house, they waited until he showed up for his scheduled meeting with his probation officer in the San Fernando Valley on Friday. He was then placed in cuffs and taken to jail in Van Nuys, Calif.

But the 28-year-old wasn’t in jail a full 24 hours, because he was released Friday afternoon and told everyone that he’s still going to play a scheduled show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Soulja also said he refuses to follow in the footsteps as the Brooklyn rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, who was busted in November 2018 on racketeering charges.

“Yeah, I’m out, n–gga,” said Soulja in a curse riddled video. “And I’m performing at the Clippers’ game, so be there at the motherf–kin’ Clippers’ game.”

“I had the biggest comeback of 2018, bro, no cap, and they tried to lock me up,” he added. “Y’all got me f–ked up. No jewelry, no chain, they took all my jewelry. I still got my motherf–kin’ band on. My real partner came and got me. I’m not going out like 6ix9ine. Y’all got me f–ked.”

Soulja also said he might even wear his jail identification wristband to the Staples Center show, and for now there’s no word when he’ll appear back in court.
