Ashanti’s Elegant Ensemble Staggers Fans as She Walks Red Carpet at Her Film Premiere

R&B singer Ashanti looked nothing less than stunning while attending the screening for her new film “Stuck” on Tuesday evening.

The singer/actress wowed folks with her snazzy fashions while gracing the red carpet event at Crosby Street Hotel in New York. As she posed with actress Arden Cho and many others amid the movie premiere festivities, it seemed Ashanti’s eye-catching garments alone became the center of attention.

The 38-year-old sported a slate-gray metallic dress with a plunging neckline and side high-slit, adding a pair of open-toe high heels to complete her ensemble. She accentuated her voguish look with diamond drop earrings, an encrusted bracelet and an oversized brown amulet ring.

She also went full glam with makeup look, including a smoky purple and blue shimmer eye shadow look and nude-colored lipstick. She also opted for a short sandy-blond hairdo.

Ashanti posted the images of her red carpet wear to Instagram on April 17, writing, “What an amazing night…at the premiere of my musical film “Stuck”.. in theaters this Friday!”

Her dazzling look received a shower of compliments.

“#STUCK #ON #YOUR #FASHIONABLE #PIC !!! 👀#WHOAAA !!!”

“Beautiful is an understatement 😩 you looking f–king amazing 💰🖤!”

“Beautiful Queen @ashanti. Your style is impeccable 😍🔥!”

“Muva ❤ I just wanna be like u when I grow up 😩 you look absolutely perfect and stunning!”

The film “Stuck” is set to hit theaters on Friday, April 19, and centers on
six diverse New Yorkers who engage one another on a delayed subway train. It’s based on an off-Broadway musical.

“I think this is a really good time for the movie,” she told NewsDay this month. ” I think people are becoming cold because we are under so much pressure and we are continuously worrying about how to just survive. This is a message that can let people know on both sides of the fence that it’s still OK to talk.”

Ashanti plays the character Eve, who’s known for her frank attitude, as she stands up for herself and others on the train. The singer said her character’s strong but gentle nature appealed to her.

“This is something that I hadn’t done and I was like, ‘Wow, this could be something cool’,” the singer said. “And just reading the script, the reality just set in, as a New Yorker and understanding the subway, this could really happen.”
