Ayesha Curry knows plenty of women want to shoot their shots at her NBA Champion husband. But she also wants them to know that she’s not having it. And of course, Twitter had a field day.

Though Curry and Golden State Warriors star Steph have been married for almost 10 years, she has made a name for herself with a cookbook under her belt, a Food Network show called “Ayesha’s Homemade” and as a spokeswoman for “Covergirl.” She recently made an appearance on Jada Pinkett Smith‘s “Red Table Talk” to discuss family life in the NBA and had some things to say about a troublesome aspect of being married to a well-known figure: groupies.

“Stephen is very nice by nature, and he’s very talkative,” Curry explained. “Everything’s very friendly and sometimes to the point where I’m like ‘Okay I’m a grown woman’ so I just insert myself and be like ‘Hello, how are you doing?’”

Curry also described an incident where a woman had the nerve to get close to her husband while her eldest daughter, who was an infant at the time, was in the car.

“This group of people came over and they’re trying to ask Stephen for pictures and autographs,” Curry recalled. “The woman opens the car door, sticks her body in the car and is like, ‘Oh, let me see [the baby].“ Curry said she responded by saying, “No, get out of the car,” to which the woman smugly said, “Oh, honey, you know what you signed up for.”

Even though Curry said that she has since grown used to women constantly “lurking” for her husband, she said that she still hates it. At the same time the mother of three went on to claim that she does not get attention from men the way her husband gets attention from women and she admitted she would not mind getting looks from men.

“Yeah there are all these women throwing themselves, but me, the past 10 years, I don’t have any of that,” Curry said. “I have zero, this sound weird, male attention. I’m like is there something wrong with me?”

Since the “Red Table Talk,” Curry’s name has been trending on Twitter as many people on social media were debating her words. There were some who honed in on her comments about her husband’s groupies while others argued over whether she as a married woman should be looking for attention from other men.
