The real star of this show is in its name, the famed national park, Yellowstone in Wyoming.

The Paramount Network TV series Yellowstone is now in its second season, and the cast sat down with journalist Diedre Johnson of Black Girl Nerds to discuss what’s to come.

Yellowstone features an incredible ensemble cast in this drama series, starring Kevin Costner as the patriarch of a powerful, complicated family of ranchers. A sixth-generation homesteader and devoted father, John Dutton controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. He operates in a corrupt world where politicians are compromised by influential oil and lumber corporations and land grabs make developers billions. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect, Dutton’s property is in constant conflict with those it borders — an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.

Interviews below feature actors: Wes Bentley, Neal McDonough, Gil Birmingham, Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Kevin Costner.

The sophomore season of Yellowstone will premiere on the Paramount Network Wednesday, June 19 at 10pm ET.
