‘My Dad’s Acting Advice Is the Worst’: Why Jamie Foxx’s Daughter Corinne Wasn’t Exactly Feeling His Tips

Jamie Foxx’s daughter has been bitten by the acting bug. After Corinne Foxx entered the industry as a model, she’s now making her thespian debut in the thriller “47 Meters Down: Uncaged.”

But while she’s decided to step into the world of filmmaking, that doesn’t mean her famous father has necessarily been all that helpful — despite having decades of experience on the 25-year-old.

While gearing up to film the tale of four teenage girls who learn the sunken ruins of an ancient Mayan city are hunting grounds for great white sharks, Corinne decided to see what her comedian-actor dad advised her.

“My dad’s acting advice is the worst,” she told Variety at the movie’s premiere in Westwood, California Tuesday, August 13. So what did the famed actor tell his daughter? “It’s so easy anyone can do it.” To that Corinne responded, “You won an Oscar, of course it’s easy for you.”

While Jamie’s advice didn’t exactly land with his daughter, his support has. The actor was his daughter’s date to the premiere and eagerly snapped selfies — or “ussies” — as they walked down the red carpet. And that energy has been pouring out on Jamie’s Instagram account of late.

“My daughter @corinnefoxx is doing big things!!!” he said on his page August 6. “And I’m sooo proud of her!! Not only does she costar with me on our hit show @beatshazamfox … on August 16 she has a big movie Coming out that she is the star in!…the movie is titled. 47 meters down… it is an amazing film that does not disappoint… I cannot tell you how happy I am and for the next few days I am going to dedicate my IG to my little one and her artistic efforts…”

True to his word, Jamie has since happily posted promos for the film, throwback pics of himself with baby Corinne, and urged folks to go see the movie, beaming like a proud papa.

Meanwhile, Corinne has reflected on the process of making her first flick, writing an essay for Backstage advising other burgeoning actors about how to stay the course.

In the candid piece, the actress admitted, “Being an actor can be exhausting, lonely, defeating, and frustrating as hell. It’s running a marathon with no finish line in sight. But, as draining as this profession may be, we can’t deny the incredible runner’s high that we feel as we pursue our passion. A high that most won’t understand and few get to experience. It’s what keeps me going, and it’s what should keep you going, too.”

The company is managed in four parts such as i) movies, videos etc production unit, ii) Educational Unit, iii) Event produce & management unit and iv) online management &, marketing unit. All units are worked separately but corporate each other but all dealings should be done in the name of FOCUS A-Z.
